Its only words...n words are all i have....

There's a quote.."actions speak louder than words". But its sometimes words that touch your heart.. words said by a person, or words of a poem... or for that matter, lyrics of a song.

I still have those pieces of chart papers treasured, on which my friends penned their thoughts, on the hall day last year. I remember the poem word by word, which a very dear friend of mine wrote for me.

Some songs are very special and very close to my heart.

Kya bataoon maa kahan hoon main
Yahan udney ko mere khula aasmaan hai
Tere kisson jaisa bhola salona
jahan hain yahan sapno vala
Meri patang ho befikar udd rahi hai maa
Dor koi loote nahin beech se kaate na

These words from the song Lukka Chuppi somehow always manage to moisten my eyes everytime I listen to this song.

Well, coming to romantic mood (although I am a big flop at this :P), some songs are so cute that for once, you start believing that this madness called LOVE really exists!

for example, the song "TUM SE HI" from jab we met. It is so mesmerizing that you actually want to experience the feelings conveyed in the song.

hum labon se keh na paye, unse haal-e-dil kabhi
aur woh samjhe nahi, yeh khamoshi kya cheez hai

And then there are songs to comfort you...coz heartbreaks are quite a possibility!!

shama kahe parwane se, pare chala jaa
meri tarah jal jayega, yahan nahi aa

woh nahi sunta, usko jal jaana hota hai
har khushi se har gum se begaana hota hai

Folks, it was your choice. No one forced it upon you. Take the positives out of it..and move on!!

Coming to some optimistic poetry, the songs 'aashayein' and 'allah ke bande' are very special for me. When I had taken a drop for JEE, I often used to feel depressed. And believe me, these songs used to comfort me a lot and give me positive energy.

Well, there are many many songs with ossome lyrics .. like.. ek pyar ka naghma hai, tujhse naraz nahi zindagi, jab koi baat bigad jaye,etc.. which are soothing, inspiring and sometimes heart-rending.

I believe that words have a power that is unmatched. And some songs are so beautifully written that they can make you smile in difficult times, and sometimes serve as a very good inspiration and motivation.

Finally I would like to quote these lines from the song,'main pal do pal ka shayar hoon'.. which would be a fitting tribute to all those great poets and lyricists who affect our lives in such a beautiful way.

Kal aur aayenge, naghmon ki khilti kaliyan chunne waale
Mujhse behtar kehne waale, tum se behtar sunne waale
